By using maps23d you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language on purpose.

1. What you get

maps23d is a free tool that turns map data into 3D models inside your browser. It is provided as it is, with no promise that it will be available, accurate or free of faults, and no guarantee that it will stay free or keep working.

2. Your models

We claim no ownership of the models you make. What you may do with them depends on the licences of the source data, which are not ours to change:

• Elevation data comes from open sources (AWS Terrain Tiles, which combines public datasets, and Mapterhorn). Credit them when you publish.
• OpenStreetMap data (buildings, roads, water, trees) is licensed under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Models built from it must credit "© OpenStreetMap contributors", and ODbL conditions apply if you share the underlying data.
• The street basemap comes from OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles, built from OpenStreetMap data, with the same credit requirement.
• Esri imagery is used only as a surface picture and is subject to Esri's own terms. It is not licensed for commercial use without an ArcGIS account. If you plan to sell prints or images, use a different surface, or clear the rights yourself.
• Files you import stay yours, and you are responsible for having the right to use them.

Checking that your use is allowed is your responsibility, not ours.

3. Fair use of the services

The map, elevation and search servers are free public services with limited capacity. Do not script, scrape or automate this page, and do not build a high-traffic product on top of these public endpoints. Run your own servers if you need that.

4. Accuracy

Elevation and map data contain errors, gaps and out-of-date information. Do not use models from this site for navigation, engineering, construction, aviation, flood assessment, land disputes, safety decisions or any purpose where an error could cause harm or loss.

5. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or the files it produces, including wasted filament, failed prints, lost time, lost profit or incorrect decisions. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or probe this site or the services behind it, and do not use it to build anything unlawful.

8. Changes and availability

Features may change and the site may go offline at any time, without notice.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of PLACEHOLDER_CITY have exclusive jurisdiction, unless local consumer law grants you rights in your own country.
